Abstract:

In today's world a stable development of a nation that is heast harmful to natural RESOURCES and the environment is rare and is therefore of great significance all nations are attempting to establish firm foundations that will not only endure the passage of time but also become stronger day by day resulting in the progress and improvement of the society of mankind, In general to achieve such a goal, undoubtedly, it calls for strict alternation to natural RESOURCES and appropriate utilization of these RESOURCES. The present study investigates the MANAGEMENT of natural RESOURCES in the plains of Bashabad, yazd province, in order to achieve correct scientific methods techniques that are helpful in decreasing WATER consumption and increasing the efficiency of WATER. Results of this study show that the only source of WATER consumption in the region is the underground WATER which at present has led to a full in the Hydrological level in the area due to over consumption, in such a way witnesses annually a 30cm decrease in the underground WATER level. In order to secure a balance between the decrease in the WATER level and WATER consumption we can apply legal measures and achieve a financial aspect by an increase in the cost of WATER consumed. In addition by executing proper policies for determining the costs we can achieve a stability by changing the pattern of farming (irrigation) because farmers are the significant consumers of WATER. Despite all kinds of limitations already in the area the amount of WATER consumption and the efficiency may be helpful in the efficient consumption of WATER and in return can be helpful in the delay of the crises in WATER shortage in the region which has become a threat.

The planning and investing in various sectors, especially agriculture is required precise knowledge of the regional climate, How the drought phenomenon has been in the past, present and would be in the future in the region. The objective of this study is forecasting drought in city of Bojnourd for optimal MANAGEMENT of WATER RESOURCES and its effects on agricultural production. Needed data for drought prediction obtained from synoptic meteorology stations and Bojnourd Agricultural Organization. To determine drought periods, the SPI drought index was used. Effects of drought on production and farmers, income were determined. The results showed that the wettest and driest years were 1990-1991 and 1987-1988 years respectively. During the period, the region faced with 10 wet and 11 dry years. The most severe drought happened in the winter of 1999 with the cumulative SPI of -2.85, the lowest drought was in the fall of 2007 with -0.54 cumulative SPI.

Abstract:

Harirud river with an international nature is shared between Afghanistan, Iran and Turkmenistan and currently there is no treaty among these states regarding the division of its WATER RESOURCES. In recent years, after the construction of the Doosti Dam by Iran and Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, as an upstream state is moving towards hydro-hegemonic policy in the region by building various dams which restrain and divert the WATER flow of this river in order to decrease the downstream countries’ WATER rights. On the other hand, due to the high importance of Harirud WATER RESOURCES for Iran, continuing this type of behavior by Afghanistan might cause conflicts and create security risks among these countries in the near future. Therefore, employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study aims at examining the issue according to international legal documents in the field of sharing common WATER RESOURCES. Finally, the findings indicate that the best and most practical method for exploitation of Harirud WATER RESOURCES is based on the theory of limited territorial sovereignty and implementation of the principle of equitable and reasonable utilization of common WATER RESOURCES by Afghanistan, without causing significant harm to downstream states.

Abstract:

In order to identify and understand the native MANAGEMENT of Kashan region in the field of WATER RESOURCES in contemporary times, as well as the opportunities, strategies and barriers to transition to the forethoughtful MANAGEMENT, based on indigenous knowledge, principles of assistance and camaraderie in the case study, a qualitative study was conducted through archival research and fieldwork, including interviews with five key beneficiary groups of native MANAGEMENT, farmers, knowers, executers, trustees in district and bazaar, as well as the general public, during 2012-13. Afterwards combining documentary research, field observations during the two years traveling in the region as well as 40 days of continuous life in the studied population, along with participation in the research community and ultimately, collected approaches, through interviews and observations, the relative recognition were obtained from native MANAGEMENT in Kashan region, especially in Neyasar. The results of the studies and observations suggest that native MANAGEMENT of WATER, based on four key components, including indigenous knowledge, assistance, camaraderie and forethought. One important component of native MANAGEMENT is indigenous knowledge; experiential knowledge is derived from the culture, values, attitude, beliefs and understanding of the people of a country towards leading issues. Participation of beneficiaries and assist them to work together to manage and organize as having more in the second component, namely assistance. The third component is camaraderie with the core concept of the values, respectful and interested that assist people to understanding and communication with each other and the environment. The fourth component is forethought, which includes attention to the needs of the present and future generations, taking advantage of the native capabilities, fairness and integrity in decisions and behaviors and ways that to achieve the forethoughtful MANAGEMENT.

Abstract:

Social conflicts around the WATER axis, salinization of WATER RESOURCES, declining groundWATER levels, etc. indicate the existence of major shortcomings in the country's WATER MANAGEMENT system. Some of these consequences are due to natural factors such as drought, climate change, etc. Another part is affected by WATER governance policies. Governance and MANAGEMENT are similar in general, but in fact MANAGEMENT in the form of executive and governance activities is the existing structural framework for the implementation of those activities. WATER governance is a range of political, social, economic, and administrative systems that exist for the development and MANAGEMENT of WATER RESOURCES and the provision of WATER services at various levels of society and is a direct mechanism for people's livelihood. Another reason for the importance of governance is the relationship with some macro indicators of society. The indicators of good governance vary according to the circumstances of each society. In the process of evaluating good governance, any kind of judgment and evaluation should be based on certain criteria and indicators. Localization of indicators in any society will accelerate the achievement of stability in the desired area. In this article, with the aim of being aware of the global knowledge in order to implement good WATER governance in the country, the various stages of changes in world WATER MANAGEMENT were examined and its effects on domestic WATER policy and MANAGEMENT were pointed out. Then, a comparative study of local WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT and indigenous knowledge with indicators and principles of good governance was conducted. Finally, by explaining the context and structure of the principles of governance in the country, it became clear that good governance will be possible through accountability, the right to comment, and social justice, which are of great importance.

Abstract:

Today, many of the Subterranean and the threat of environmental pollution have been exposed Tehran's why environmental studies and WATER quality monitoring Subterranean as urban planning and MANAGEMENT is an important issue. The purpose is of this research, monitoring WATER quality across the East Tehran Subterranean of environmental indicators. The research method to collect data primarily based on documentary research and field visits, sampling and testing done by other research groups are based. The results of this study indicate that, Subterranean Tehran East area in terms of WATER quality were comparable but somewhat more detailed look at some of the variables are qualitative differences. Important variables such as chemical WATER quality) cations, nitrate, sulfate, heavy metals (NH3 EC, TDS, PH, DO, shows that WATER quality in the Subterranean, in most cases than the WHO standards are desirable. And in some of the Dehkheyr Shahr Ray has no biological contamination are higher than allowed. The indices for agricultural purposes as well as test results indicate the desirability of its aqueducts Tehran East zone. Generally, the higher the Northeast to the South East of Tehran move forward due to the reduction of pollution of underground WATER and dissolve of WATER depth increases.

Abstract:

underground WATER RESOURCES are one of main sources for human needs, especially in dry areas. In addition, groundWATER will not be affected by short-term droughts, and if used correctly can be a reliable resource for human needs. Khansar WATERshed, located in south- western of Harat city (in Yazd province), has two qanates with 414, 383 m3 average annual discharge and 5 Springs with 507, 729.6 m3 average annual discharge. For evaluation of WATER quality, in this area, no information is available so, in 2011, number of samples were taken and chemical analysis were carried on. The results showed that the input areas of Khansar WATERshed have high and appropriate WATER quality and are mainly Bicarbonat type. By moving the WATER toward the output, due to passing mineral geological formations, the WATER quality degrade. Minimum and maximum electrical conductivity are 445 and 3866 mm/cm, respectively. The major cation, based on abundance, are Sodium, Magnesium and Calcium. Analysis of the WATER quality for agriculture, on wilcox diagram, shows the suitability of all WATER samples except 4 and 6. These two samples are in the C4-S2 class and are unsuitable for farming, but appropriate for livestock. These results have strategic importance in decisions, for developing these areas.
